Jeff Norman joined the company as 1996 as General Manager. A native of Georgia, Jeff has over 30 years of experience in the Building Material Supply Industry. While his responsibilities include all facets of day to day operations, his primary focus is sales development and customer service.

Scott Talbert joined the team in 2003 after graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management. Having worked in and around the business his whole life, he has worked in various positions; all with the common goal of providing outstanding customer service. Today Scott oversees the day to day operations of the Durham location. He and his team enjoy working hard to do whatever it takes to continually exceed customer expectations. Scott enjoys hunting in his off time.

Location: Roxboro Dan Talbert started full time in 2002 after growing up working in and around the company. He currently oversees the Estimating and the Engineered Lumber areas of the business. He is also actively involved in implementing, evaluating and refining company systems and technology processes.

Before his tenure at Talbert, Donald worked in the marketing and real estate fields. He served as Talbert’s Operations Manager for 7 years and since then as Purchasing Manager. He is responsible for all purchasing, inventory control, pricing and vendor relations. Also, he keeps the team informed of current market conditions and new products in the industry. Donald is involved with a number of community organizations and enjoys golf, kayaking, and spending time with his wife, Tonya and son, Jake.

Dewey Hutchins is a native of Roxboro. He joined the Talbert family in August of 1988 after graduating from high school. Dewey has worked in many positions within the company including yard operations, merchandise stocker, retail and contractor sales, and now as Retail Sales Manager. Dewey and his wife, Daphne, were married in 2004 and live in Timberlake. He enjoys spending time with his wife, working in the yard and traveling.

She began working with Talbert Building Supply in November of 2004 in Specialty Window and Door sales and now oversees the duties of Business Development. This includes marketing, public relations, planning customer outings and incentive trips, calling on potential new customers, assisting current customers in solving their problems, needs, and wants, and mostly just looking out for any idea that makes Talbert Building Supply the only place you want to purchase your building materials. Jan currently lives in Raleigh and enjoys water sports and golfing.

She has 12 years experience in public accounting, as well as prior experience in corporate and industrial accounting. As Vice President-Controller, Lynn oversees the Accounting and Human Resource areas of the business. She enjoys the challenge of implementing new programs and processes and is constantly searching out ways to improve productivity within the administrative functions of Talbert Building Supply. Lynn resides in Roxboro with her husband and children.

She was part of the early Management Team, first as Manager of the Accounting Department, and today as Vice-President and Credit Manager, responsible for opening and managing Accounts Receivable. Judy is a native of Roxboro, living here with her husband Ray and son Brandon. She also has two lovely daughters, and one beautiful granddaughter. She is active in Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher and with the Children’s Choir.

Linda E. Oliver joined the Talbert team in 1997. She is originally from Virgilina, VA. She has over 25 years experience in the contracting and building products field. Linda is currently operating our Talbert Machine Finishing Division and also provides support to our contract sales team as a sales coordinator in Roxboro. Her knowledge in estimating, plumbing, electrical, painting and sales allows her to be an asset to our team.

Adam Rouse joined the Talbert team in May 2007 as the Installed Sales Manager. Prior to working at Talbert, he worked with his father, building and remodeling houses. He was born in Durham and has lived in North Carolina, Alabama and Virginia. He moved back to Durham after graduating from high school in northern Virginia and has since moved to Roxboro. He has two girls, Ashlyne and Taylor. He is a member of the Roxboro Jaycee’s and Roxboro Elk’s lodge. He enjoys playing softball, golf, and spending time with his family.

Robert Martin is a native of Orange County. Robert joined the Talbert Building Supply team in April of 2010 as the Installed Insulation Division Manager. Prior to him coming to Talbert, he worked in the construction industry for 22 years and 14 of those in the insulation field. Robert and wife, Robyn, of 21 years live in Durham County and are members of Antioch Baptist Church in Roxboro. They have two children, Rachael Anne age 18 and Zachary Reed age 12. Robert is interested in hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and motorcycle riding. He enjoys spending time with his family. Robert is excited and looking forward to seeing this department grow and becoming a valuable asset to Talbert Building Supply and its customers.

Formerly with his own company, and previously employed by another contractor-oriented supplier in Chattanooga, Mr. Erwin has worked in all facets of our business. He enjoys assisting with projects of any size, and will be available to help in any way throughout the duration. Harry and his wife of 30 years now live in Roxboro, are active in Sts. Mary and Edward Church and the Knights of Columbus, and like to spend leisure-time racing their sailboat and scuba diving.

Melissa is a Person County native and came on board at Talbert Building Supply in April of 2000 as a coordinator for the sales team. In May of 2008, Melissa became the Window and Door Specialist for the Roxboro store. Today, she continues to service our customers in window and door sales as well as coordinating for the sales team. Melissa focuses on customer service and helping our contractors and homeowners to find the best windows and doors to fit their needs and their budgets. Melissa resides in Hurdle Mills with her husband and children and spends her off time involved with church and family activities.
