Prompt and professional delivery is an essential element of the Talbert Difference. Our team of drivers, operations managers, shipping managers, dispatchers, and truck loaders are committed to providing accurate and timely deliveries. The Talbert delivery fleet includes tractor-trailers, flatbeds, box trucks, and pickups. Most trailers and flatbeds are equipped with truck-mounted forklifts, some with 4-way directional capabilities for deliveries to space-restricted job sites. Our in-house fleet management team and a network of trusted truck and equipment partners keep our fleet and equipment ready to deliver.
We can deliver most in-stock material orders the following business day if placed by noon. To ensure weather protection, we take an extra step in our delivery process by covering materials with a durable plastic wrap. Moulding and trim delivered to your job site can be set up on our moulding racks, typically inside a garage or covered area. Our drivers take pride in carefully and conveniently placing materials on your job site. They take pictures of deliveries, and the images are digitally attached to the order and viewable in the Talbert Customer Portal.
We leverage technology to monitor, measure and improve our delivery processes. Our shipping managers and dispatchers use a Dispatch Delivery planner within our ERP system. This planner allows us to precisely schedule deliveries and optimize routes, supporting the efficient use of resources to serve our customers better. In addition, our delivery trucks are equipped with GPS technology. We can easily track a truck's location, and Talbert Customer Portal users can track their deliveries from a smartphone or computer.
Safe roads are important to everyone, so to encourage safe driving practices and protect our drivers, we have dual-facing AI Dash Cams installed in our delivery fleet. These cameras provide preventative in-cab coaching and alert shipping managers of triggering events.
